The Pinon Field Office of the Department of Emergency Medical Service is centrally located on the Navajo Reservation in Pinon, AZ. Pinon lies about 45 miles west of Chinle, AZ, with a populations of approximately 13,000.
The Pinon community is surrounded by the following chapters: Cottonwood, Whippoorwill, Low Mountain, Blue Gap, Hardrock, Black Mesa, Forest Lake and Pinon. respectively.
In the more remote areas, many people speak traditional Navajo. Most roads are dirt or gravel and many residents do not have running water or/or electricity.

Pinon Field Office has now opened its' door at the Pinon Health Center. Currently it operates Monday-Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM The Pinon Field office is a recent addition to the established eleven (12) Field offices on the Navajo Nation.
Pinon Field Office will provide services to many residents and/or visitors throughout the area. We will e responding to 9-1-1 class providing Basic and Advance Life Support.
The Pinon Field Office is still under development. Once the EMT's receive certification, they will be capable to offer training, such as Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), Basic First Aid, and other basic lifesaving techniques.
